Concern
**Update 03/18/2011**
A special thanks to everyone who contributed to Team Concern! I know it is not the easiest of times to give money but your generosity really shined through and YOU helped me exceed my overall goal by $445.00 bringing the total to $1,445.00!
The last 20 weeks training for LA Marathon have been very challenging, especially these past few days, but I never once thought about giving up and walking away. Yesterday I thought I would not be able to make it to the starting line dealing with this pain in my butt (yes, it literally was a pain in the butt!) but my biggest concern was letting down my supporters and the foundation. As of today I am feeling much better and I know that regardless of my finishing time or pace, I have done my best to get to that finish line!
On another note, it is not too late to make a contribution — just because I met my personal goal doesn’t mean the foundation stops working. The fight is everyday and every single dollar makes a difference. Please visit the link below to my contribution page if you would like to make a donation.

Hello Friends!
After running all kinds of crazy miles and marathons this year and fracturing my foot during OC Marathon, I thought I would train smart for 2011 since I now have a real purpose.
This year I felt a tug at my heart when Kathryn Vickers showed up on one of Runnergy’s Wednesday night runs to discuss raising money for the Concern Foundation by running LA Marathon in March 2011. A few weeks later during my conversation with her, not to mention a few shed tears, I realized I needed to do something more meaningful than logging miles and chasing PRs and I made my commitment that day!
Already 10 weeks into my new training program, I am privileged to say that I am healthy and excited for this year to come.
Please help me reach my goal by making a donation, any amount is appreciated — it is also your last chance to make a 2010 tax-deductible donation as the year comes to a close.
Thank you,
Trace B
